Why should I even stay here?
Sometimes I ask myself if it’s really worth it to stay here, in Haiti. And sometimes the answer is a big resounding NO. I mean why should I stay? EVERYTHING, I mean everything is harder, even the simplest things. To go somewhere is an issue, to go back home is another. Dealing with some Haitians can put you in mental hospital. Socializing is a problem, going out to socialize is much more. I...

Shopping
Allow me to stray away from election debates and return of dictators to talk about one of my favorite pastimes, shopping. I am literally drooling over dresses and shoes on the internet because I am going through withdrawal. Let me start by saying that I am not a shop-aholic, I appreciate fashion but I prefer to do my own thing, I do not follow trends. With this said, I have been having a hard time...
I want it all!
I am at home today, sick (possibly something called Gardia-I don’t know), and I am thinking about all the different things I would like to do right now. I have a long laundry list so bear with me.
I want to write again
I want to be inspired
I want to eat delicious food, things that I have never tried before
I want to go to brunch with great conversationists

I'm too hurt for words
For the first time, I’m not angry. I just hurt. This whole one year ordeal has physically taken over me. I just want to get under my sheets and cry all day.
Did you know...
That in Haiti, if you don’t pay your credit card bills on time they print your name on the newspaper? Yea! I will not get a credit card in Haiti, better yet, I’m not sure I want to ever use credit cards again.
